MERKEZ Property and Casualty Insurance Company, founded as a joint – venture partnership between GURIS HOLDING - Türk Petrol, has become a total owned subsidiary of GURIS HOLDING by the end of 1994 after the acquisition of the whole shares of Türk Petrol. Merkez sigorta acquired an esteemed status owing to its stabilized expansion since its establishment and thus taking a step into the Turkish Insurance sector, in the course of the severe competition formed amid the circumstances caused by the abolishment of the tariff regime. Despite the fierce competition across all branches of business in the global insurance industry, Merkez P&C Insurance Co. expands to operate globally day by day with new and radical changes in its management and production methodologies starting from the year 1997.
